Q:  Is this obesity epidemic REALLY a problem?
A:  Statistics show that close to 30% of the population under age 18 is overweight or obese … and this number is growing exponentially!  Even more alarming is the fact that if both parents are overweight or obese themselves, that child has close to an 80% chance of becoming an obese adult.

Q: What is a Bariatric physician?
A: Bariatrics is a subspecialty of medicine that deals with weight management and the treatment and prevention of obesity and its complications. Bariatricians specialize in weight loss and do not perform surgery.  See American Society of Bariatric Physicians for more information (www.asbp.org).

Q: Can mtz guarantee a certain amount of weight loss?
A: mtz online is not exclusively a weight loss program and it does not promote dieting or rapid weight loss.  It has been shown that once you begin eating more healthfully and follow the program fully, lasting weight loss does occur gradually over a period of months. The primary goal is for lifestyle changes to become long term habits. The amount of weight loss is variable; a lot depends upon your level of commitment to a lifestyle change.  It is important to remember as well that we are each unique and our bodies work differently so the degree of weight loss will also vary accordingly.  Very important to note is that in many children the goal should not be weight loss but weight maintenance with healthy habits as they gain height and “grow into” their weight.

Q: I have two or more children of different ages that I am concerned about – can I sign all of them up?
A: Yes, discount pricing is available for more than one child per household. Contact us for more information.

Q: Is it possible to have face-to-face consultations with the specialist and have a more personalized program ?
A: Yes.  Please contact us for more information.

Q: Will I receive a bonus for referring my friends?
A: Yes!  We do offer referral bonuses. Contact us for more information.

Q: Do you take health insurance?
A: Not at this time. Some insurance companies will cover weight loss programs to some degree if it has been shown that weight was lost or health status improved.  We would be glad to provide you a receipt for our services to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Q: Are weight management services tax deductible?
A: In most cases, a portion of your financial investment is tax deductible. Please check with your personal accountant for individualized confirmation of this.

Q: How do you maintain privacy?
A: This is very important.  All of the online communication you have with us is encrypted and password protected.  We are not a covered entity under HIPAA because we have no electronic communications with health insurance companies.   We do not take insurance nor submit claims and, therefore, do not need to abide by HIPAA.  However, know that all precautions are taken.
